![]() We are currently seeking an HSE professional with previous experience in the electrical industry, ideally overhead lines to work for a contractor in the power distribution / utilities sector. Knowledge of the water metering industry would also be advantageous. Applicants must hold the NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum and have some existing experience in a designated HSE role. The objective of the role is to: - Ensure Health Safety and Sustainability strategy with supporting policies and procedures are implemented throughout the region. - Give a positive drive to SHE throughout the group. - Advise the work stream operations manager and Regional SHE manager of any significant non conformances or incidents - Advise the business streams with regards to best SHE practice and implementation.. - Implement systems to drive for continual improvement. - Ensure systems are in place to maintain all relevant work stream accreditations. Duties include: - Ensure company systems and processes are complied with - Assist the Regional SHE Manager to carry out his role effectively - New acquisition integration into regional SHE systems where required - Implement SHE communication within the relevant regions - Monitor the relevant areas of work for SHE compliance and bring any significant findings to the attention of the Operations manager and Regional SHE Manager - To implement effective systems to develop a positive safety culture. - Advise and assist the relevant work stream on SHE matters. - Develop improved relationships locally with clients - Ensure accident and incident investigations are carried out with all actions followed up and completed. - Drive the regional work effect on SHE annual plans - Liaise and co ordinate with the Group Safety team and other work stream SHE managers to ensure consistency throughout the business. - Attend safety forums and communicate findings throughout the region - Ensure all safety inductions are carried out - Monitor the control of contractors within the region - Assist with CDM CP plans - Maintain personal competence on an ongoing development basis - Carry out all reasonable requests regarding SHE management form senior safety Management team - To work in various work parties set up from the central team to address specific issues - Take an active part in the continual development of the safety management system |
