 We are seeking a Regional HSE Manager with strong building maintenance experience, to cover multiple sites along the M4 corridor. Works will include gas and electric servicing and repairs, minor repairs, plus more substantial refurbishment programmes to buildings. Candidates will have to travel significantly to sites from the South West to West London so should be located equidistant from these areas. Duties & Responsibilities include: - Providing Health, Safety and Environmental guidance to the management and employees on a day to day basis in respect of all aspects or areas of business. - Carry out regular office/site/warehouse facility Health and Safety Inspections, produce reports and follow up action points. Additionally carry out office risk assessments, inclusive of fire assessments, ensure they are reviewed as necessary and tested in accordance with legislation and good practice. - Make regular visits to any operational contracts to review the application of Health and Safety. - Liaise with Enforcing Authorities as required and described in the company's Health and Safety Policy. - Assist in achieving and maintaining OHSAS 18001 Certification once the business is in a position to do so. - Be a proactive member of the National Health and Safety Team. - Review essential risk assessments and method statements in association with Operations Staff. - Assist Area Bid Managers in providing replies to Health, Safety & Environmental questions for pre-qualification enquiries in perusal of future work opportunities. - Assess the competence of Contractors that may be engaged by the company. - Deliver relevant tool box talks/briefings and training where appropriate. Candidates must have extensive experience working in the building maintenance sector of the construction industry. Alongside NEBOSH General and/or NEBOSH Construction certificates an environmental qualification would be advantageous. Experience of delivering training would be beneficial. A full driving licence is essential. |
