Rhodar (Homeworks) Ltd are currently recruiting for a Domestic Asbestos Surveying Technician to be based in the Bristol area, and working in the South West region. Reporting to your line Manager, you will be responsible for following all instructions given to ensure effective day to day completion of domestic survey reports. You will work mainly on your own and must follow all safe working procedures to ensure you meet all health and safety requirements. You will be trained on the particular requirements of domestic survey reporting and full use of all equipment needed to carry out your job. You will be required to undergo asbestos awareness & asbestos removal training and carry out removal works when requested. Specific Responsibilities To complete management & refurbishment & demolition surveys in accordance with the Method Statement/scope, ensuring that you comply with all company rules, policies and directives. To remove and / or encapsulate asbestos containing materials following safe working procedures in accordance with the Method Statement. All site information will be sent and received using an electronic view pad, report information will be returned to the office daily. Ensure that you use, maintain and store all protective clothing, equipment and materials correctly and that you report any defects immediately. Ensure that you follow all health and safety procedures. Ensure that you raise all non-standard or unexpected issues with your Manager immediately. Ensure that you submit records for the examination of your personal respirator to your Manager. Ensure that you maintain your personal register of certification. Ensure that you keep good housekeeping practices at all times. Ensure that you promote a positive image of Homeworks (travelling in company uniform, driving safely, polite and considerate when in contact with customers and the public etc). Competencies P402 certified Physically fit Willing to work and stay away from home when required Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required Willing to be clean shaven for work at all times Willing to attend for drug and alcohol testing when required Must work to and follow company standard procedures (Safeguard & Being a welcome visitor) Willing to attend training when required Your role requires that you must be willing to assist in training new Domestic Asbestos Surveying Technicians on site.
