I am currently working alongside an independent oil and gas company with both onshore and offshore operations across the globe ranging from Northern Europe to Africa and from South America to the Middle East.
Due to a recent acquisition the company is now looking to recruit a HSSE Team Leader to be site based in the South West.
Reporting to the HSSE Director and managing a team of professionals you will provide specific advice and direction on all safety, security, environmental and health related issues ensuring day to day HSE operational support to meet legal compliance and business needs.
Key Accountabilities will include:
Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to the team
Build and maintain local relationships with Regulators
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and Company HSSE standards
Provision of operational HSE advice, coaching and guidance to operational leaders
Drive the delivery of the HSE Plan
Lead and participate in incident investigation and ensure high quality of all investigation reports
Manage HSE budget requirements
Ensure a programme of audit and monitoring activity is in place
Maintain a Risk Management process
Facilitate shared learning and consistency of practice
Visit operational sites on a regular basis
Maintain an emergency response role within the Incident Management Team
Provide HSSE reporting and analysis for the site
The successful candidate will be a team player with a high level of self motivation and excellent communication skills. You will be degree qualified, hold a recognised HSSE qualification and have knowledge of onshore projects with a background in the oil and gas industry. We are also recruiting for a Safety Engineer for the same site.
