Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Environmental, the HSE Advisor will be responsible for advising client members on general Health, Safety and Environmental matters, undertaking site inspections, producing gap analysis on organisations’ compliance and, carrying out specific audits of members’ facilities.
The client, BPIF, the British Printing Industries Federation is one of the country's leading trade associations and is the principal support organisation dedicated to improving the profitability of companies in the Printing, Packaging & Graphic Communications sector. The BPIF is helping shape the future by providing a strong lobbying voice for Print, ensuring growth by organic means and partnerships and supporting member companies through the provision of practical value-added solutions, to achieve a Business Seal of Excellence in the areas of Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environmental issues and Customer Service.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Health & Safety knowledge (ideally printing sector specific) as well as experience of Environmental risk. You will hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and ideally a NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent. Displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills you will be credible, and comfortable in dealing with members at all management levels. The successful Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor will be IT literate and proficient in the use of PowerPoint to design and deliver training programmes. You will be able to work autonomously, and within a team and be flexible in attitude and planning to accommodate customer and organisation changes.
